Political Science Ph.D. Student, IIAS, Tsinghua University
About Me
Welcome to my personal website! I am Zeyu Chen (Wade-Giles: “Tsê-yü Ch’ên”).
As a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the Institute for International and Area Studies (IIAS) at Tsinghua University, my research focuses on comparing distinct governance systems. I am particularly interested in the intersection of business, technology, and governance. I employ computational social science methods to analyze how different governance systems affect economic capabilities. My work aims to provide insights into the effectiveness of various institutions in promoting sustainable development and social welfare.
In addition to my academic research, I have gained valuable experience working with several international organizations, including the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). I seek broader perspectives on the practical applications of political and economic theories in real-world settings.
As mountains have their proud array,
So have I mine own measured way.
Mini Projects
Inspired by #opentowork, I created a customizable avatar generator. It can add colored circular borders with text like #opentoplay to your avatar.
I developed a business card maker that allows users to create and customize their own digital business cards, and the lettering is something called Silian Rail.
